The Cloisters Coat is a one-of-a-kind piece created from densely hand embroidered cotton textile in rich tones of crimson, gold, emerald, ivory, and deep black. Ornamental botanical and geometric forms spread across the surface like illuminated manuscript details or fragments from an ancient woven wall hanging, carrying a richness that feels unmistakably Byzantine in spirit.
The black ground allows the embroidery to glow with extraordinary depth and colour, balancing bold pattern with intricate hand worked texture. Both dramatic and surprisingly wearable, the oversized silhouette transforms the piece from textile into presence.
