This print takes its cue from Merri Flax (Linum marginale), a native wildflower that dots the Merri Creek landscape with soft blue blossoms through spring and summer. It’s one of those understated treasures.. delicate yet resilient, thriving in the wild edges of our local bushland.

We’ve set these hand-drawn blooms on mustard cotton-spandex, in an ink colour that defies easy description.. it’s just a step between mustard and olive green, shifting with the light. It’s unusual, grounded, and the perfect foil for the airy wildflower print.

Botanical note: The Merri Flax (Linum marginale) is part of the native flax family, with vivid blue five-petalled flowers. Historically, native flax species have been used for fibre, echoing our love of cloth, thread, and wearable storytelling.
