Description

Soft structure, layered cloth, and thousands of tiny stitches.

The Residency Jacket is a one-of-a-kind quilted kantha jacket created from layers of vintage cotton sari cloth hand stitched together using traditional running stitch techniques. The abstract botanical print shifts somewhere between camouflage, foliage, and painterly landscape, giving the piece a beautifully organic sense of movement.

Every surface carries the subtle texture and irregularity of hand quilting, creating a jacket that feels lightweight yet comforting to wear. The reverse side reveals a soft pink backing with contrast piping and pockets, allowing the jacket to be worn beautifully either way.

Relaxed in shape and easy to throw over almost anything, this is a piece for travel days, studio mornings, winter markets, artist residencies, and building a wardrobe full of stories rather than trends.

Designed to fit approximately sizes 8–18 depending on desired fit, with generous shaping through the shoulders and body. Model Rosie is 170 cm tall.

More one-of-a-kind kantha pieces are waiting in store, each carrying their own unique colours and stitched histories.

One of a kind. Made from vintage cotton saris and hand quilted using traditional kantha stitching techniques. Hand made in India.
