This gorgeous lightweight merino top is printed with a coastal wattle specimen, showing seed pods about to drop (in summer), and is hanging out with a Bogon moth.
The fabric has been knitted locally to our print studio and store, from a special custom made yarn of 87% superfine merino , 13% biodegradable nylon.
Bio-nylon is added to give extra strength to the wool, but also means at its end of life, and then 5 years in landfill conditions it will start to break down back into the earth. (here is an article with more info)
It’s very soft and light so works as a layer on its own or as a great thermal layer when its really cold. We gave this round a subtle a-line flare in the body, for a more flattering fit.
