Wurundjeri ancestors created Birrarung (Yarra River), and the water of the Birrarung was once locked into the mountains near Woori Yallock. The great expanse of water flowed from the mountains all the way to Naarm (Melbourne). We heard this story on the Warburton Rail Trail, near Woori Yuluk. Yuluk translates to rivers or creeks in Woiwurrung.
We learned the reeds along the river were once used for headbands and necklaces.
This print was creating spending time contemplating the landscape on a lovely sunny weekend in Autumn.
