Handcrafted from dozens of individually embroidered cotton pieces, this one-of-a-kind coat is a true mosaic.. a vibrant gathering of colour, pattern, and memory. The fabrics are joined with visible kantha stitching, echoing the paths, rivers, and trade routes that cross the Thar Desert near Jaisalmer, AKA the fabled Golden City of Rajasthan.

Each narrow rectangle tells its own quiet story, stitched with care by artisans from desert communities. From starbursts and flowers to geometric motifs and appliqué, the detail rewards close looking. Together, they form a richly textured landscape in warm desert tones — from sand and rust to deep earth and dusky rose.

The cropped and boxy cut is relaxed yet sculptural, with wide sleeves, a soft wrap belt, and inset front pockets for everyday wear. Fully reversible, the inside reveals a contrasting striped cotton, with subtle embroidery details peeking through along the seams when worn inside out.
